This embroidery basic course has everything incorporated that is required by newbie embroidery students. It is divided into five modules, which are described in detail below.
Your course will start with some prerequisites being addressed by your mentor. With the necessary things defined, you’ll learn to adjust your fabric in the hook for the next stages of the course.
In this module, you’ll be introduced to some of the most widely used types of stitches. These stitches are called basic because of their easy-to-execute nature. However, their uses are not basic since they are the basis of every embroidery artwork designed. In particular, five types of stitches will be practiced, namely the Running Stitch, Back Stitch, Stem Stitch, Coral Stitch, Split Stitch and the Chain Stitch.
To make the learning a little more intense, Rubab will introduce a few more complex techniques of embroidery. These techniques are used to add unique touches to your needlework designs. Here, your mentor will show you how one can apply these practices to craft beautiful floral designs. This module will include Feather Stitch, Fly Stitch, Fish Bone Stitch and Satin Stitch.
Once you learn all of the basic and advanced types of stitches, it will give you the time to learn a few more things before we go into final practice. With the help of a few new techniques, you’ll learn to make different types of embroidered flowers. These techniques will include the Lazy Dazy Stitch, French Knot and the Woven Wheel.
Here, you will dive into the final production process with your mentor. Rubab will start from the very beginning and will choose a design where all of the learned techniques can be applied at once. Following her lead will help you understand the process involved in making a great embroidery design. By the end of this module, you will be able to craft an embroidery design for yourself and your clients.
